Born in 1926, he was a playwright. His wife was the scriptwriter Yōko Doi. He was active in the field of theater, mainly in Kansai, from the 1950s to the 1970s. He wrote many scripts for television, including Hyōroku to Soba no Hana (Hyoroku and the Buckwheat Flowers), which was broadcast by NHK as part of the Art Festival in November 1956, Tedanofua Okinawatei (1979, Mainichi Broadcasting System), Wanpaku Tenshi (Naughty Angel, 1971, NHK), and Utsukushii Ashita (Beautiful Tomorrow, 1965, Fuji TV). However, he wrote far more stage plays, including Shukuji (Congratulatory Message, 1950, Academy Gekijō), Gādo Shita no Seika (Hymn of Underpass, 1952, Seisakuza), Hige (Beard, 1955, Osaka Hōs Gekidan), Eraiyaccha (What a Man!, 1963, Shochiku Kateigeki), Hansuke-han (1963, Shochiku Shinkigeki), Ki no Ji Banzai (1964, Shochiku Shinkigeki), Midaregami (Disheveled Hair, 1968, Shinpa), Ekimae Bankokuhaku (World Exposition in front of the Station (1970, Toho Morishige Gekidan), and Meguriouta ga Sanjūnen (Thirty Years, 1977, Shochiku Shinkigeki). In addition, he worked on many large-scale commercial theater productions at Nakaza, Imperial Theatre, Umeda Koma Theater, Minamiza, Shin-kabukiza, Misonoza, Shinbashi Enbujo, and Tokyo Takarazuka Theater. He died in 1985 at the age of 59.
