Matsuda Nobuko

She was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1926. She dropped out of Japan Women’s University’s Faculty of Specialty. As a scriptwriter, she wrote for numerous television series from around 1960 to the early 1980s. Her major works include Atchan (1965, NTV), Comet-san (1967, TBS), Creo-kun (1968, Fuji TV), Izure Hanayome (Someday I’ll Be a Bride, 1968, ABC), Fū Fū Fūfu (The Huffing and Puffing Couple, 1969, TBS), Kuyashi Namida (Tears of Regret, 1970, NHK), Jikan Desuyo (Time to Begin, 1970, TBS), Sono Toki ga Kita (The Time Has Come,1972, Tokai TV), Hana Yori Dango (Rice Dumplings over Flower,1972, MBS), Ichi-Hime Ni-Tarō (A Girl First, Then a Boy, 1972, Fuji TV), Tentsukuten (The Sound of the Drum, 1973, NTV), Mariko (1974, NHK), Tonari no Tonari (Next Door to My Neighbor, 1974, NTV), Ohayō-san (Good Morning to You, 1975, NHK), Hana Kurenai (1976, NHK), Mū (1977, TBS), Gendai Fūfu Kō (Reflections on Modern Couples, 1981, NHK), Naniwa no Genzō Jikenchō (Genzo’s Naniwa Casebook, 1981, NHK), and Kutabare Kāchan! (Drop Dead, Mother!, 1983, Kansai TV). She died in June 2008 at the age of 82.
