The series presents a story incorporating iconic scenes from the manga as well as original episodes. My younger sister who disappeared into the flames on the day of the Bombing of Tokyo, red flowers falling on the water’s surface, my younger sister minding a secondhand bookstore; the younger sister of the protagonist appears in various forms in a fantasy world. Momoko Sawai’s naive rendering of the young girl Sayoko Kikuchi gives a mysterious appeal to the series.
