 - Overview
 - Portraying a crisis hidden within a family that seems ordinary at first glance, and how the family is tossed about by the crisis, this TV series brings to light the Asura-like egoism and obsession that exist in the inner depths of a woman’s mind. Part 1 revolves around the father’s affair, and Part 2 around the sisters’ relationship with men. The series was adapted into a film under the direction of Yoshimitsu Morita in 2003. Tsunako Mitamura, the eldest of the four sisters, has been widowed and makes a living as an ikebana flower arrangement teacher. Makiko Satomi, the second eldest sister, is a stay-at-home mom with a son and a daughter in junior high school. Takiko Takezawa, the third eldest sister, works as a librarian. Sakiko Takezawa, the youngest sister, lives with a nameless boxer in secret from the others. One day, Takiko sees her father, Kotaro Takezawa, with another woman. She asks a detective agency to investigate, which revealed that Kotaro has a mistress as well as a child with her. The four sisters discuss what to do secretly from their mother, Fuji. Not long after, however, an article concerning their father’s mistress is published in a newspaper readers’ column. It seems to be the work of one of the four sisters. Who would do such a thing? In addition, it is revealed that each of the four sisters has her own secret too, such as Tsunako’s affair and Makiko’s husband’s affair.
