- Ryosuke Imai works as a tour conductor for a travel agent. One morning, he gets up to find a woman he does not know sleeping next to him. Ryosuke calls his friend Kimiaki Nogami while being careful not to wake her. It turns out that the previous night Ryosuke met and got along very well with a girl called Momoko Kanzaki, and he invited her to say at his place. He has no memory of this because he was very drunk at the time. Momoko eventually wakes up, but she does not remember what happened either. The two get into a quarrel. Momoko’s dream is to become a non-fiction writer. She tries to provide a new romantic relationship to her friend Kaori Sawada who continues to devote herself to an unrewarding relationship. Following the advice of her friends Chiaki Asakura and Miwako Shina, Momoko asks Sadakuro Osawa, a friend from college days and interviewee of hers, to bring some friends for a matchmaking party. Momoko invites Ryosuke Imai and Kimiaki Nogami. Ryosuke and Momoko thus meet again; Kaori gets infatuated with Kimiaki. However, Kimiaki is unable to earnestly love women because of trauma caused by the discord between his parents. Chiaki has a similar trauma. Sadakuro is considerate towards Chiaki. Ryosuke and Momoko get into a fight every time they meet; the two are surprisingly alike. Attracted to Ryosuke’s cheerful character, Chiaki spends a night with him. Though they have made love, the two feel something is not right. “At last I know who it is I love the most” ... Ryosuke and Momoko are united on a stormy night. But then, Momoko is given the opportunity to move to the US—at last she can fulfil her dream of becoming a non-fiction writer...
